Searching for the Lost Language of Cumbric

A quest to uncover the forgotten Celtic language of Cumbric, carefully tracing it through the rich tapestry of Cumbria's history, folklore and local dialects.

The search is guided by the contributions of folk musicians, storytellers and a linguist who harbours a mysterious secret. They piece together fragments and clues, working to breathe new life into a language lost to time, but that continues to echo the region's collective cultural memory.

Originally created as an audio documentary, visuals were added for an exhibition at Kendal Museum.
